Kiss My Face is a live and experimental performance company producing professional performance work, as well as working in education and the community. The artists involved also produce their own work outside of the Company. Humorous and exhausting the work revolves around elements of physical fatigue and the 1940’s cinematic experience. The work is always hard work but playful
We invite you……….come play with us!
'Hide and Seek'
Old movies, games, arguments, chaos.
Hard work but always playful. Hide and Seek is witty, frustrating and fast-paced.
Using 1940’s movies as instruction manuals for ‘good acting’ two directors attempt to create two pieces, with the same cast, the same space, at the same time. The cast are exhausted as arguments erupt and fights break out.
Drink a cup of coffee and its beautiful, smoke a cigarette and its beautiful. Women are the helpless provocative damsels, men are the heroes, and it’s all beautiful. But what happens when the directors cannot agree and the cast refuse to play the game?
Performed: August 3rd-28 th Edinburgh Festival 2006. Tour 2007
'Bleep' / 'Life on the Ground'
The athlete and the performer, the success and the failure, with audience members free to walk through her path, is it really up to you if she succeeds or fails? How far is enough?
2006: Slideshow Festival opening performance 2006
2005 : EuroArt Festival, Tottenham, London
2005: The Firefly, Leicester City Centre

'Femme Chaotique'

Three performances occurring simultaneously, all dealing with ideas of physical fatigue and beauty. Whilst one performer runs a bleep test, the other strains to repeat her movements and the other invites you into her private boudoire.
An intriguing piece of performance engaging in ideas of power and oppression. The audience member becomes the spectator and the performer, the powerful and the powerless, the informer and the misinformed. The piece challenges our own concepts of truth and fiction, and whether “we the people are part of the trade?”
