Physical Theatre

These workshops involve improvisation, working with emotion, and the physical rather than vocal exploration of text. Workshops deal with various Grotowski physical theatre techniques and involve solo, pair and group work.

The focus is to discover things about the performer and performer’s body, and the ways in which these things can be explored through devising and performance.

 

 

 

Contemporary Dance and Movement

Exploring pedestrian and everyday movement, this workshop looks at how to use the physical attributes of a space to create site-specific work.

Text is also incorporated, in a way that explores the sound and rhythm of the writing in order to create performative material.

 

 

 

 

Capoeira


GETTING THE BOYS INVOLVED AS WELL
A Brazilian Martial Art form that combines offensive and defensive movements, (kicks and escapes) as well as acrobatics.
Great for fitness, teamwork and movement combinations!

Creative Writing

Poetry, music and short stories!

Script construction, character development, language and rhythm. All this through a collection of exciting tasks that get the creative juices flowing and the pen on the paper.

This workshos can be used to help develop a current curriculum topic or introduce the students to something entirely new.

 

 

Circus Skills

Clown around learning new skills!

Plate spinning, juggling, diablo and much more. Great for co-ordination, teamwork and group dynamics.

 

Prices:

Workshops are priced based on full days or half days, and with one facilitator. Please be aware that the price will vary if you require more than one facilitator. This may however be needed if you have a large group or you have any particular requirements for the work.

Full Day: £180 / Half Day: £90

 

Capoeira: (2 facilitators needed)

Full day: £290 / Half day: £160 / Per hour: £70 (e.g. after school club)
